“Yoshi Nintendocore Fringe Earrings” Free Beading Pattern

See a video of these on my Instagram

Materials:

  • 6lb Fireline thread for brick stitch and K.O. nylon thread for fringe
  • 15/0 seed beads (color palette is on the left)
  • A mix of crystals, star beads and other fun stuff if you want to do a confetti fringe.

Design uses brick, square stitch, and fringe. So keep an eye out for those changes! I have marked where they are so it’s easier to figure out.

The square stitch portion is divided into 4 separate blocks. I tried to do it all together and got some bad warping. Dividing it into chunks helped a lot.

When we weave brick or square stitch, we’re basically making a beaded fabric. When the fabric is this large it will curl or flop if you don’t reinforce it. To reinforce the square stitch I weave back through the completed square stitch (with fireline string, before you do the fringe) in long diagonals until it is solid! But be careful because 15/0s are easy to break if you make too many passes.

To make the 3D clouds I followed a tutorial from BeadingbyHannah on YouTube.
